Gerald has had varicose veins for the past 25 years and described the veins as “unsightly”. In addition to the appearance, he experienced a nagging, aching pain in his leg that got progressively worse with time.
The Closure procedure was recommended to Gerald by a physician who referred him to Dr. Nerney for a consultation visit, after which Gerald decided the Closure procedure was right for him. Gerald was awake during the treatment and recalls feeling “no pain during the procedure.”
Following the procedure, Gerald’s legs were wrapped for 3-4 days. However, he explained, ”I was active immediately following the procedure and resumed my regular activities once the wrapping was removed.” Gerald no longer has discomfort in his legs.
Gerald is pleased with the results of the Closure procedure, explaining that if necessary he “would go have the Closure procedure performed again in his other leg.”
